A newspaper’s Twitter in 1940.
This amazing color picture shows the citizens of Brockton, Massachusetts gathering around the newsroom of their town’s paper, the Brockton Enterprise to read the headlines of the day which the paper has posted in its storefront.
It must have taken a while to write out all of those headlines and it’s crazy how 70 years later we’re doing that with Twitter nearly instantly.
